Chimney Cleaning | Sweep ServiceDuring a chimney sweep service, we power sweep the system from the bottom up. The power sweeping rods attach to a drill, and the tool spins around inside the chimney and/or flue to remove stage 1, and 2 creosote deposits. The dust is controlled with a high powered vacuum.

Many insurance agents require a WETT Inspection when a home has a fireplace or wood burning stove. A good real estate agent or Home Inspector will recommend a WETT inspection during a home sale or property transfer.
Chimney Cleaning SweepsCreosote, or "soot" is a byproduct of burning wood, and accumulates inside of the solid fuel appliance, and chimney. Regular chimney sweeping will help improve system performance, and reduce the likelihood of a chimney fire. We power sweep the interior chimney lining using a spinning chimney cleaning tool that maximises creosote removal without damaging the interior flue passage.

CVRD Woodstove Replacement ProgramThe Cowichan Valley Regional District wood stove replacement program is an incentive to replace your old smokey wood burning appliance with a new efficient wood burning stove or another efficient heating appliance such as a heat pump.
Eligibility CSA or EPA -certified wood burning stoves that are over five years old and wood burning fireplace inserts that are installed in open hearths may be eligible for replacement.
