Description - Chimney Sweep Service
Our chimney sweep service is performed from the bottom up. We power sweep the interior flue, damper, throat, and firebox of stage 1 and 2 creosote deposits. Type of Appliance - Chimney Sweep Service
Our sweep service is priced depending on the type of appliance serviced - fireplace, fireplace insert or wood burning stove. Each type of appliance involves a different scope of work and pricing. If you have been quoted for a sweep service that is not representative of the type of appliance to be serviced, please inform us so that we can update the scope of work and pricing.
Not Included - Chimney Sweep Service
The chimney sweep service offered by Canadian Chimney does not include anything other than what is defined in the item description. Some examples of what is not included are listed below. If you require additional services that are not defined in the sweep service product description, please send us an updated service request prior to your service date.
In accordance with fire code requirements, we recommend wood burning chimney flues with deposits of 3 mm or greater be swept of combustible creosote deposits and all chimneys, flues and flue pipes be inspected at intervals not greater than 12 months.

- Stage 3 glazed creosote removal - glazed creosote is a tarry substance that fuses to surfaces and can not be removed during a standard power sweep.
- Waste removal - removal of waste in the ash drop, clean-out, excessive waste in the fire chamber, garbage, nails or other materials that are not combusted natural wood.
- Multiple flues - service offered on a single chimney flue.
- Inspection - the sweep service does not include a formal chimney inspection. The Fire Code - 2.6.1.4.
